| A233 | Unusual Austrian ersatz bayonet w/s. This is one of
the twisted steel ersatz models. However, I have never seen another one like
it. These bayonets are usually crudely made, this one is top quality work.
I believe this is a patent model or a prototype. The L shaped muzzle ring
appears to be machined out of a block of steel and is extremely thick. It is
riveted to the hilt with small round head rivets. The scabbard is also very
well made, but from sheet steel. The seams are carefully rolled and the frog
stud is round. You have to look carefully at the photos to appreciate this
one. It is fantastic and unissued.

India Pattern, crown 27, Oughton. Modified to fit another musket. Collar

Probably a captured/reutilized bayonet from Peninsular wars. Interesting

| A098 | BCB B165 | British P1859 Cutlass Bayonet type 2, Volunteer n/s.
Very rare item in wonderful condition. The maker is Carl Klonne in
Solingen. Klonne had a contract to provide only 1000 of these for official
use. This one has no inspection stamps, so must be for a volunteer unit.
Also the hilt material is not leather, but bakelite or something similar.
MRD is 21.2. A few small areas of pitting, but blade is mainly bright.
There are also some edge dings where this was clashed with another blade.
However, the dings are not deep or detracting. There is a small area of
insect damage on one grip.

| A260 | BCB I31 | Jacobs Sword Bayonet w/s. Super rare bayonet and the scabbard is even more rare. S mark on the blade, nothing visible on the pommel. | A267 | BCB B239&9 | British P1913 early production w/s. Remington made
in Feb 1916. This model wasn't approved until June 1916. It has no oil hole
in pommel and has grips without grooves. The grips are slightly oversized.
The MRD is 15.4 mm instead of 15.5. Has normal British inspection markings.
Tear drop scabbard is marked RE. Very unsual set of features and the early
date make me think this was a preproduction model out of Remington.

Very rare model. According to the guy selling this, it was found in the
region of Ft. Ticonderoga, but I have no documentation of this. See Erik
Goldsteinąs łThe Socket Bayonet in the British Army....˛ fig 132. 4 1/8 inch
socket, 1 3/4 inch S-M distance, MRD about 13/16 (this is a bit hard to
measure). Nice solid excavated consition. Nice deep makers mark still
visible on the ricasso, seems to be the pistol mark. You can just make out
inspection stamp remnants. Socket bridge is missing and the rear of the
socket has been opened up a bit.

| New | C012 | JN57-1 | British P1903 w/s. Scabbard is the rare brass
mounted scabbard for tropical service. Blade has issue date of 9 01, so this
was originally a P1888. Converted to P1903. It later went to India and is
stamped RFI on the top of the pommel. There are Arabic numbers on the cross
guard, so I suspect this one ended up in Afghanistan. This was in use by at
least three armies for probably well over 70 years. The blade is worn, but
not abused. Grips are a bit banged around. The leather is scuffed and the
scabbard drag is split a bit on one side.
